Wang Yi, founder and chairman of Hunan Chuangyuan High-Tech Machinery Co., Ltd., enjoys special government allowances from the State Council and serves as an expert in the evaluation of national scientific and technological progress awards, holding the title of professor-level senior engineer.
With a deep focus on high-end mining equipment and technology research and development, Wang Yi has led numerous national and provincial major scientific research projects. His research achievements have won nearly twenty national and provincial-level scientific and technological progress awards, contributing significantly to the mechanization and automation of China's mining industry and advancing mining technology.
Wang Yi is a man of chivalry.
At first sight, Wang Yi, clad in blue and yellow work clothes, bears the marks of time on his resolute face, which also reflects the wisdom accumulated over the years.
"Liberating miners from harsh and dangerous environments" has been Wang Yi's mission. His words and actions reveal a selfless dedication and sense of responsibility, epitomizing Jin Yong's definition of a chivalrous figure: "The greatest chivalry lies in serving the country and the people."
The initial intention was to enable miners to enjoy the happiness bestowed by the times.
On February 1st of this year, the launch meeting and implementation plan demonstration of the "14th Five-Year National Key R&D Program" project, hosted by Hunan Chuangyuan High-Tech Machinery Co., Ltd. in the new area, was successfully held in Changsha. As the responsible unit for the project's "deep-hole cutting, rock drilling, and large-scale shovel transportation intelligent technology and equipment" subject, Hunan Chuangyuan undertakes all mining equipment development work.
Perhaps forty years ago, when Wang Yi, a graduate student studying mining equipment manufacturing at the foot of Yuelu Mountain, he would not have imagined that the youthful man would become a leading figure in China's mining equipment technology field and a leader in the research and development of drilling equipment in China.
In 2012, with a series of plans and policies to support high-end equipment and build a powerful nation frequently introduced, scientific and technological innovation enterprises ushered in a spring of development. At the age of 49, Wang Yi made a surprising decision: to leave his comfort zone and start his own business!
At that time, Wang Yi had already garnered various honors: special government allowances from the State Council, national model workers in the non-ferrous metals industry, first-level talents in Hunan Province's "121 Talent Project"...
At the age of understanding destiny, Wang Yi took action to interpret a chivalrous life: not indulging in fantasy or empty words but accumulating strength to build a realm of mining equipment.
"In the past, with family responsibilities, I hesitated to start a business. Now, at the age of understanding destiny, I can venture without hesitation!" In November 2012, Wang Yi founded Hunan Chuangyuan in the Xiangjiang New Area of Hunan, aiming to "liberate miners from harsh and dangerous environments and enable them to truly enjoy the happiness bestowed by the times."
This entrepreneurial idea was not a sudden whim but a result of his personal experience of the harsh and dangerous conditions in the mining industry. The sense of righteousness to "benefit the world while achieving one's own success" prompted him.
In 1986, Wang Yi graduated from Central South University and embarked on a career of providing technical services for mining. Descending into the mines at dawn, working with miners in the dark and damp underground all day, and returning to the surface in the evening with a face blackened by coal dust, Wang Yi's will was tempered by the harsh working environment, and the seed of "liberating miners from harsh and dangerous environments" was planted in his heart.
"Mineral resources are the industrial food; they are of great significance for the country's development." Wang Yi said, to make young people willing to work in mines, it is necessary to improve the working environment of the mining industry, and by organically combining equipment, technology, and intelligent systems, enable mine workers to work as easily as urban white-collar workers.
Located in the Xiangjiang New Area of Hunan, Wang Yi had a far-sighted vision: Hunan is the hometown of non-ferrous metals, Changsha is the capital of engineering machinery, and the Xiangjiang New Area is home to numerous universities and abundant talents, providing fertile ground for the company's growth.
After more than ten years of development, Hunan Chuangyuan has grown into a national specialized and new "small giant" enterprise, designated as the drafting unit for the national standard of shaft drilling rigs, undertaking several national key R&D projects of the "14th Five-Year Plan" and the scientific research projects of the National Mine Safety Supervision Bureau, becoming a leader in China's intelligent mining equipment and technology system solution field.
