Great News! Hunan Chuangyuan Wins Second Prize of "2023 China Nonferrous Metal Industry Science and Technology Progress Award"
Recently, exciting news has arrived, as Hunan Chuangyuan once again achieves remarkable success. The project "Intelligent Mine Drilling Equipment Intelligent Operation System," jointly developed with Central South University and Shanxi Zijin, has been awarded the "Second Prize of China Nonferrous Metal Industry Science and Technology Award." Drilling operation is a crucial process in traditional non-coal mines, and drilling efficiency and quality directly affect the continuity of mine production, production efficiency, and operating costs. To address the issues of low drilling efficiency, heavy reliance on manual experience, and extensive management in domestic mining enterprises, the research team at Hunan Chuangyuan overcame challenges and pioneered high-precision blasthole positioning technology for mine drilling equipment. They first developed the IDOS autonomous operation control system specifically for drilling equipment, established a mathematical model and optimization algorithm for the "walking transition-positioning-drill rod conveying-drill rod grabbing-autonomous operation" process, and realized the intelligent, safe, and efficient autonomous operation of the entire process and scene of drilling equipment under complex conditions. This achievement fills the gap in the field of automation of drilling equipment in China, significantly improves the intelligence level and safety production level of mine drilling operations, and enhances the working environment for workers, effectively promoting the automation, intelligence, and unmanned processes of drilling operations.
The project results have been successfully applied in many well-known enterprises such as Jiuquan Iron and Steel Group, Ansteel Group, Zijin Mining, as well as in several smart mine demonstration projects in countries like Mexico and Russia, and in mines such as Shanxi Zijin, Jiuquan Xigou Mine, and Pansteel Zhulan Iron Mine. It has demonstrated significant application effects and successfully assisted mining enterprises in improving economic benefits.
Following the achievement of the "2022 China Nonferrous Metal Industry Science and Technology Award," Hunan Chuangyuan has once again won the "2023 China Nonferrous Metal Industry Science and Technology Award."
