In a triumphant celebration of innovation and excellence, Hunan Chuangyuan High-Tech Machinery Co., Ltd. has been honored with the Se
cond Prize in the 2023 National Science and Technology Progress Awards. The prestigious recognition was presented during the National Science and Technology Conference, the National Science and Technology Awards Conference, and the Two Academies Academicians Conference held on the 24th morning in Beijing. President Xi Jinping delivered an important speech and presented the awards to the recipients.
Hunan Chuangyuan played a significant role in the award-winning project titled "Key Technologies and Equipment for Intelligent Mining of Underground Metal Mines." This project addresses major national demands and focuses on cutting-edge intersections of global mining science and technology. By leveraging the National Key Research and Development Program and other scientific research projects, the team tackled scientific and technical challenges associated with deep underground metal mining. Over years of persistent efforts, they achieved breakthroughs in several key areas:
Cluster Continuous Intelligent Mining: Developed advanced techniques for continuous intelligent mining across multiple mining areas.
Intelligent Mining Equipment and Control SyStems: Innovated equipment and systems that enhance the efficiency and precision of underground metal mining operations.
High-Precision Positioning and Navigation: Achieved high-precision positioning and navigation for trackless equipment.
Ubiquitous Information Collection and High-Bandwidth Communication: Enhanced underground information collection and wireless communication capabilities.
Cluster Control and Real-Time Production Scheduling: Improved cluster control and integrated production scheduling for intelligent mining operations.
These innovations led to five major outcomes: equipment intelligentization, precise positioning, real-time scheduling, high-speed communication, and continuous mining. The project culminated in the development of a proprietary set of technologies, equipment, and control systems for large-scale intelligent mining of underground metal mines.
The project established a theoretical and technical system for intelligent mining of underground metal mines in China, addressing critical foreign technological dependencies and achieving import substitution. The results have been widely applied in leading enterprises such as China Minmetals Corporation, PowerChina, Zijin Mining Group, Aluminum Corporation of China, Shandong Gold Group, Jiuquan Iron and Steel Group, and Ansteel Group, as well as exported to several countries. This has significantly reduced on-site personnel, improved mining efficiency, and increased overall labor productivity. Additionally, it has provided substantial economic, social, and environmental benefits, supporting the green, low-carbon, intelligent, safe, efficient, and sustainable development of deep mineral resources in China.
